It has been about 6 months since my little family moved to Florida. A little recap for new followers. My husband, Trevor, and I got married at the end of April in 2019. (See a little bit about our honeymoon in Lake Tahoe). My husband Trevor is a Marine, so we immediately moved to Stafford, Virginia for him to start officer training at The Basic School. I did not work during this time which led me to starting my blog. Hooray!!

We were there for about 7 months before we moved here to Pensacola, Florida. We have really been enjoying our time as a family here. Trevor is waiting to go to flight school, so I have the pleasure of having him around at home more! Although I am now working so I am at home less.

I got a job at a golf course down here and am working in several different departments where ever I am needed. I am also working hard to keep my social media presence active and my blog busy. A few months ago I achieved a huge goal of mine and was accepted in to rewardStyle. This gives me access to be apart of the LikeitKnow.it app and link my clothes so that my followers can now shop all my outfits and home decor. It has also given readers the option to shop from my blog. (Shop Here)

Florida has been a bright and happy place where there are so many options for photo taking. A few of our favorite places here are definitely the beach, the Flora-bama, a few local breweries, and our own backyard. Moving from our Virginia one bedroom apartment to a three bedroom home with a fenced in backyard has been a dream! Our yard is huge and we love that we can relax, host, and let our dog run around outside in our own place.

I personally love that I can now have a backyard garden and grow our own vegetables. We also love to play darts, corn hole, and frisbee with our friends. During this pandemic, we have found comfort in having a house where we all have space to do a number of things to keep us sane. There are enough room for my husband and I to spend time and have space for our hobbies.

For me I love having an office to work on my blog, a place to spend time on my makeup, and room to store all of my clothes. My husband has a man cave where he can post up and watch sports and movies but also have a home bar and keger-ator for his home brew and all his equipment for brewing. For Lola she loves having the ability to run, play, and stand guard (look out the window and spot all the squirrels).

We have definitely made a home here. We have found a church, a dog park, and all of our favorite restaurants in each food category. We have a solid group of friends that we regularly see. We miss our family and our home states. We are patiently waiting for this pandemic to pass, so we can safely visit and have visitors again!

Looking forward, Trevor should be up in the air in the next following months flying his first plane. I am starting to train for another marathon (I haven’t picked out a specific one yet). We are also looking forward to being able to take some day trips to explore the surrounding area more! Other than that we both will be working hard and having some fun here and there.
