What We Bring to the Beach

Moving to Florida has stepped up our beach game 100%. I own stuff for the beach that I would have never even thought to bring when we lived in the Midwest. But the beaches are bigger and more intense here than in Minnesota.

We have also been going at least once a week, so investing in good beach equipment has been worth it. I found a lot of stuff at Walmart and on Amazon! Shopping makes me want everything because there is such cute beach stuff out there!

Along with showing you all that we own for the beach I have included a beach packing list that you can download and save to use later! I have also linked several stuff that is either identical to what we own or very similar. Also including some fun things that are on my wish list for you to shop.

We bring a lot to the beach. I over pack and I am very aware of it, haha. Trevor will bring a lot less stuff if I don’t come with, but I like to have my bases covered! I use a beach bag that can get wet and has lots of compartments to organize a little. We also just got this beach cart to use to carry everything a little farther away so with can social distance better.

This beach cart is great! It was a gift from Trevor’s mother and is made to be pulled across the sand. We put our cooler, chairs, beach games, beach blanket, and any other loose item in the cart. Trevor pulls the cart and I carry the beach bag.

My bag carries the sunscreen, makeup, clothes, books, snacks, shoes, speaker, phones, headphones, brush, trash bag, and anything else that is little that I bring a long. I like to be prepared in case we decide to stop to eat on the way back. I’m to maybe get ready a little bit or put more clothes on if it gets windy. I have this bag!

My beach favorites are definitely this new beach cart since it helps to carry everything which is a big relief! I also love our beach cup holders. We bought them off of Amazon and they keep all the sand off of our drinks. My Kate Spade Tumbler is also from Amazon and is sealed so tight that I’ve never ended up with sand in my drink.

Water is crucial when we are at the beach. We usually just bring a gallon jug or a large water bottle. My drink of choice lately has been the Truly’s black can selection. Trevor always bring light beer. We will bring sandwiches if we go for all day otherwise we mostly just bring snacks.

My curly hair always needs a great brush after the water and I love to put some spray in it to bring my waves back to life! Another go to after some sun is body oil. It shows off your sun kissed tan so much better. I will even start the day off with this by the pool but at the beach the sand will stick to you more if you have it on during the beach.

I love to look super fine at the beach which I’m guessing so do you all. Accessorizing is something I don’t forget to do before I leave the house for the beach. It adds the extra glam even if I do take most of it off when I go in the water.

Packing extra clothes is always mandatory for me because I never know how long we are staying, if we are stopping for dinner, or if I’ll want to change out of my swim suit for any other reason. I like to bring a dress that can either swing as a cover up or vis versa. I also usually come to the beach wearing shorts and tank top. I also throw in a sweat shirt in case it’s windy or we stay in to the evening.

Keeping the sun off my face is very important for my skin care. I have a variety of hats I choose from! I also use 70 SPF on my face under my makeup to help protect my skin. Chap stick with SPF in it too never leaves my beach bag, so I’ll never forget it.
