I love Chai tea. It has become my morning go to. If I don’t have time to drink it before work in the mornings than I just bring a little tea package with me and drink it there. I love it that much.

It is a great alternative to coffee especially if you are girl who likes to drink more sweet than bitter beverages. For some reason I have never been a huge “let’s grab coffee” or “let’s go check out the new coffee shop” or even simply “let’s go to Star Bucks.” I don’t have anything against them I just don’t ever think of it or have the urge to.

Some where some time I also engraved the thought that going to get coffee is an luxury in cost. It must be the frugal part of my mind that is telling me I can drink this at home for a lot cheaper especially because I like all the drinks with all the fluff which tend to be more expensive.

I have never liked coffee but it wasn’t until about a year ago that I started to enjoy tea. I am still in to the tea’s that are sweet or can be made sweet but I’m okay with that. This is also why I avoid coffee shops. I don’t know how to order a drink or I am afraid I’ll order wrong and be embarrassed. (Comment below and tell me how you order your favorite drink so I can try it!)

Oh, well. I enjoy spending my mornings at home and creating my own! My Chia Tea Latte is super simple and sweet. You can adjust it to your liking by adding more less of anything! Be creative and if you make your own at home share it to your stories on Instagram and tag me in it so I can see too!

Chia Tea Latte

Ingredients:
  • Tazo’s Chai Black Tea
  • Almond Milk
  • French Vanilla Creamer
Recipe:
  • Infuse your Chai Tea in hot water (about 1/2 of cup) for about 4-5 minutes
  • Warm up your milk
  • Froth your milk & Creamer
    • put 1/4 cup of milk and a splash of creamer in a jar and shake vigorously until milk appears froth and has doubled in size
  • Add your milk mixture after tea is done
  • Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon if you are feeling a little extra today!!

If I am in a rush I won’t froth my milk, but it’s not as fancy that way! I love my Chai Tea Latte and it’s good to know that Chai Tea also contains a lot of healthy benefits such as “help boost heart health, reduce blood sugar levels, aid digestion and help with weight loss” (Petre, 2017).
