Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. I think it shows so much love, kindness, and giving towards one another. A lot of people don’t celebrate it because they think it is a marking scheme.

I don’t care about that at all. I love having the excuse to dress up, make myself feel sexy, and spoil my man. I’m all for the big stores creating another day to celebrate my relationship and love.

Remember Valentine’s Day is not all about the other person. Take some of that affection and put it into loving your self. Spoil yourself.

Our Valentine’s Day Plans

To avoid the chaos of dinner reservations and traffic, Trevor and I are going to stay in this year. Actually most of our favorite dates are when we stay at home and plan a relaxed night.

We love to grill! I’ll go pick up some big steaks and maybe make some jalapeno poppers. I’ll set the picnic table nice with a bottle of wine or champagne. We play some country music and dance under some Christmas lights.

We also have a bunch of yard games we will most likely play, corn hole and darts. It will be a fun night. Exchanging gifts and looking back at how far our relationship has taken us.

I love Trevor and love to spoil him. But I am also aware that it is important to remember not to put a ton of pressure on your significant other and not to have high expectations. I also fully believe if you want to have a fantastic night, effort needs to be made by both parties.

I’m wish everyone an early Happy Valentine’s Day!

Thank you for reading! Tell me in the comments what your plans are for Valentine’s Day.
